Traditional Baskets

 

 Dont let my pretty baskets fool you, they are designed to be used on a daily basis. Their uses are only limited by your imagination. From start to finish each one is hand made. No molds of any kind are used. I dye all my own colors and weave each one at a time so every basket has it's own "personality".

                                                                Gathering Basket
 This Gathering Basket will hold so much weight you'll wish you had 2 of them, one in each hand to balance out the load.
 Woven in deep browns and rusts in a Cherokee style pattern, it was stained in a walnut stain.
      It stands just shy of 14 inches tall with a diameter of 9 inches across. Add the height of the handle and its almost 2 feet tall.
The handle is a swing handle, meaning it will lay down out of the way when needed.
 Youll be able find all kinds of uses for this beauty.

 Skinny Blue.
 Skinny Blue was designed to hang in those long narrow areas that "need" something but you can never figure out just what. Woven in shades of navy blue,turquoise blue,evening blue and purple it will fit in any decor ranging from cottage to contemporary. Cant you see it filled with some dried grasses??
Or use it in the kitchen to hold utensils.
Skinny Blue will look great anywhere you hang it.
It's 14 inches long and has an opening of 3 inches across.

                            Drill Handle Basket

I added a new twist to some of my work by up cycling old tools and different items into use as the handles. Here I've used a vintage Hand Drill as the handle on this market basket.

Measuring about 12 inches tall by 12 inches square. It's woven of reed with a walnut stain to add to the aged look. 

 Accented with forest green and burnt orange this basket will hold many different items and look good while it does!

 

                 

A vintage Potato Masher was given a new life as a basket woven with reed and accented with colors matching the handle this basket is a one of a kind. Great as a catchall for small things in the kitchen
Another oldie but goodie kitchen untensil finds a new purpose. I took a vintage pastry cutter and used it as the frame for a mini style egg basket   Woven with sisal, seagrass, rafia and reed in colors to compliement the handle. Youll find lots of uses for a one of a kind  basket like this
